Tick Tock Tick Tock - Retired List & Clearance Rack

Just in Case - Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies

It's Just in CASE day on my blog.  Every Thursday, Patsy Waggoner and I, post a card or project based on a sample in one of our catalogues.  It may be an exact case or it may use the same layout and the stamps and colours are changed.

CASE = Copy and Share Everything

Today my card features the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies coming in the new catalogue on June 1st using a layout from the retired Watercolor Wishes Card Kit (page 8 of the current catalogue) from the current catalogue (sadly it's sold out!).

Here is my take on this layout.

I started by apply a watercolour wash and then added the same "elements" as on the original card.

I love the sentiments in the new Colorful Seasons Stamp Set - they are perfect for both cards and memory keeping.  The little embellishments are brand new! The Glitter Enamel Dots include 4 colours (Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Dapper Denim and Berry Burst (a brand new In Color) in 5 sizes and offer ombre shades of each colour.  These are the lightest Dapper Denim dots which reminded me of water drops.

How sweet is this Adirondack chair (in Canada we also call them Muskoka chairs after the cottage area in Ontario).  The dictionary definition says:

noun

1. a sturdy armchair for outdoor use, made of wide wooden slats, with a sloping back and a seat often slanting down toward it.

but my definition is more like a inviting wood chair to sit in and stare across a lake in the summer and just take in the beauty of nature.  I always think of the lake when I see one of these chairs.
