I'm just sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for my shuttle to the airport and reflecting on the amazing time we had at Convention.
My team and I had so much fun swapping, learning, sharing and screaming (there's a lot of that at Convention) that it's sad it's all over. I honestly don't think we could handle any more FUN because the days are early and long so you get a bit sleep deprived. But who needs sleep when there's free stamps and time spent with my friends from the US and Canada. This is my downline, Colleen Vassos from Saskatoon, and I after we received our Founder's Circle Bag. I'm so proud of Colleen for earning Rising Star #3 in Canada!
This is my friend, Susy Miller, a US demonstrator who took me under her wing when I first joined Stampin' Up! I just love her to bits. Susy was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease last year but she's hanging in there and looks great!
You are going to LOVE the new Holiday Mini (coming to your mailbox on September 1st) are some fabulous Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas products you are going to LOVE! If you love punches that match stamps you are going to love the new stocking stamp set and matching punch...not to mention the awesome Big Shot Stocking Die.
I think the best new thing saw this year at Convention is the Simply Scored scoring system. It will also be available in the new Holiday Mini! I have the MS one but this one is an improvement on that design. You can score every 1/8" plus there are markers you can place anywhere so you can easily see where you want to score without checking the measurements each time. The scoring tool is more like a stylus and will last forever. It's so smooth on the paper and it doesn't wear out like the cheaper bone folders that come with the other scoring products out there. I KNOW you are going to love it and at $40 it's a great price. Even better if you book a workshop and earn it FREE or choose it as your 50% off item. Yes, you read that right! When you book a party and your sales are $525 or more you are entitled to one 50% off item - that even beats the local crafting store's discount!
I'll write more about Convention in the next several days...have to catch the shuttle!
