Home from Convention

Hello Stampers,

I'm just home from the annual Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City and, as always, Stampin' Up! really outdid themselves.

We always receive a Convention Bag (very cute 60's retro style) filled with stamp sets and other accessories.  AND we always get to participate in make n' takes where we learn new techniques and tips to use in our own workshops. This year we were also suprised with a new stamp set, designer paper and glassy glitter from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalogue!  PLUS I was a prize patrol winner too!  My suitcase was loaded with stuff!

DSC03538-1This year my sisters and I were all selected to be Make n' Take helpers which was really fun!  The theme of Convention was "Share What You Love" and it's always nice to share it with family!

My sister, Ellie Blake (left) is a relatively new demonstrator in Pickering, Ontario and my other sister, Mo Dickie (right) is a demonstrator in Toronto, Ontario.  Mo & I were both original members of the Canadian Focus Group prior to Stampin' Up! launching in Canada in 2002.

Here are some of my downline that attended Convention at General Session - from l to r - Diane Evans, Elaine Paget and Karen Wersch (all from Kamloops) and Colleen Vassos from Saskatoon.

DSC01516 Here are my friends who I met on the Canada Focus Group in 2001 -  Jane Evansiuk and Darlene McCallum both from Alberta - we've come a long way baby!  But we still look like we did back then right?

This is my downline, Elaine Paget from Kamloops, being honoured for earning the Alaska Cruise in 2011.  Elaine is known in our group as the "3D Queen" because she makes the most amazing projects - her customers love her and so do we!

Congratulations Elaine!!

DSC01541-1 This is my friend Karen Duke and I on awards night.  Karen is AMAZING and she continues to be in the top 10 in Canada, year after year.  This year was no exception as she earned #3 Demonstrator of the Year in Canada and #2 in Sales.

BUT the best news of all....she is the newest member of the Advisory Board, a very pretigious honour - they choose very wisely this year!

On the first day of Convention when we check in for our bags and awards I was shocked to learn that I had earned a spot in the 2010 Founder's Circle.  Karen took my picture and she said "it would be better for the picture if you closed your mouth!"  I was dumbfounded - I wonder what the picture looks like - I'll have to wait until Karen sends it to me! LOL

DSC03542 I was really honoured to be named the #15 Demonstrator in Canada and #3 in Canada for promotions in my downline.  As a Founder's Circle member I have been invited to an exclusive retreat in September in St. George, Utah with the other 120 award winners from Canada and the US.  How fun!  Here I am on stage with Shelli Gardner the Cofounder and CEO of Stampin' Up! I also got a gorgeous leather purse as a gift.

It was very exciting at the Awards Night to be recognized for my efforts in my business.  I also recognize and value how hard all demonstrators work in my own downline and in the company - they just don't get to go up on stage.  My accomplishments are in large part due to the hard work of my own downline and to the loyalty and support from my customers.  Thanks to all of you for supporting me so I can reach my goals!

Well...I'm pooped today but will be back at serving you all tomorrow!  Watch for some pictures of my favourite swaps starting then.

My next downline meeting is on August 10th at 7:00 pm - if you'd like to come as my guest and learn more about the Stampin' Up! business opportunity (and discounts on products!) please email me for information.  We wil be focussing on Convention and I'll be sharing what I learned!

Happy Stamping!
