Cool Treats Bundle 3 www.stampcrazywithalison.ca

I love the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper and I have some scraps that I wanted to use up.  This paper is so beautiful and includes 2 each of 5 double-sided design plus 1 each of 2 single-sided sheets that have clear glossy coating over designs.  This design is a great way to use up little bits of left of DSP.  You can use any piece and just add the sentiment and you are done!

I added some enamel dots to the ice cream cones and to the sentiment piece.

Just in Case - Basket Bunch Bundle

It's Just In Case Thursday, the day where my Border Buddy, Patsy Waggoner, and I share a project that was inspired by a sample in one of our catalogues.

CASE = Copy and Share Everything.  Sometimes I copy a project exactly and sometimes I use it to spark my creativity and I change the stamps or colours.

Today I'm sharing a fun project using the Mini Egg Cartons. My tag used the Basket Bunch Bundle including the Basket Bunch Photopolyer Stamp Set and Basket Builder Framelits Dies.

Here is the inspiration for my project from page 18 of the Occasions Catalogue.

The egg cartons were so popular that they sold out quickly but you can order them again starting on Monday, March 27 and they will arrive in time for you to use at Easter.

These are super cute left as they come but when you add some colour they really look like Easter! It's really easy using our reinkers and our Stampin' Spritzer with some rubbing alcohol.

I used Mint Macaron in my sample.  You can use the same technique to colour our Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper as I've shown in my picture above. The paper is white-on-white that "pops" when you add ink.

Imagine decorating your Easter table with different coloured cartons filled with chocolate goodies.

If you want the directions to this cute project make sure you are subscribed to my newsletter.  Every Sunday I send out a newsletter than includes the directions to my weekly Just In Case Project. Hint - this week I'm including two additional projects for Easter!

Colour Your World Blog Hop! Basket Bunch

Colour Your WOrld banner

It's time for the Colour Your World Blog Hop with my Stampin' Up! demonstrator friends from around the world! This month we are celebrating our first anniversary.  We have had so much fun sharing our projects using the monthly colour palette and we hope you've enjoyed hopping with us.  Did you know we have an online community that you can join and share your creations with us? Click here and ask to join our Colour Your World Blog Hop Community on facebook.

This is the palette for this month - it's the first day of Spring so the colours today are perfect; don't you think?

March 2017 colour your world palette

My card uses the Basket Bunch Photopolymer Stamp set and matching Basket Builder Framelits Dies. It's not a requirement to use all the colours every time but I try and use as many as I can and this month I managed all five of them! It was easy with the Easter Eggs.

Colour Your World Blog Hop Basket Bunch 2 www.stampwithalison.ca

I used the striped Peekaboo Peach patterned paper from the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper pack along with the Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon.  It's just screams Spring to me! I know a lot of people struggle a bit with this colour but I love it!

Colour Your World Blog Hop Basket Bunch 3 www.stampwithalison.ca

I love using bundled product like stamps and framelits because it's so easy to create a fabulous look combining them in a card.  Plus when you bundle them together you save 10% on the purchase price!

Did you get a special new outfit (including hat) for Easter service? I always got a nice new dress for church and a basket to collect up our eggs.  The eggs in my sample are made with the Basket Builder Framelits Dies and layered together to create the two colours.

Colour Your World Blog Hop Basket Bunch 4 www.stampwithalison.ca

There are so many advantages to using our Photopolymer stamps but one of the best is that you can "shape" them into curves or other shapes easily on your acrylic blog.  I wanted the sentiment to be the same shape as my circle so I just curved it on the block to match the edge.  Isn't that cool?!

Card Swap Sunday! Emboss Resist Dragonfly

Dragonfly Dreams Emboss Resist Technique 1 www.stampcrazywithalison.ca

It's Card Swap Sunday the time when I share a swap card I've received from my friends or one I've created for a swap.  Today's swap was made by my friend Lisa Althouse and features the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set.

Lisa used the emboss resist technique in her card and in such an interesting way.  She stamp the dragonfly on the Designer Series Paper Stack piece in Versamark, added White Emboss Powder and heat set.  Then the Rich Razzleberry ink is brayered over the entire piece so the dragonfly just "pop".

Dragonfly Dreams Emboss Resist Technique 2 www.stampcrazywithalison.ca

You can buff up the dragonfly with a tissue because the ink will resist the embossing.  Isn't it gorgeous?

Dragonfly Dreams Emboss Resist Technique 3 www.stampcrazywithalison.ca

The sentiment is from the Beautiful You stamp set and the Stitched Shapes Framelits make any sentiment stand out.  I love everything about Lisa's card.

Want to make the card yourself?
