It's Thursday and time for Just in CASE! This is the day Patsy Waggoner and I (my Border Buddy) share a project we've CASED from a Stampin' Up! publication. We sometimes copy it exactly or we use it as inspiration for a similar project made with different colours or stamps or both!
CASE = Copy and Share Everything
Today I'm sharing a cute gift packaging idea for our quarterly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator publication called Stampin' Success. This magazine is full of inspiring ideas and business tips for demonstrators. You'll have to take my word for it that this is inside the magazine because we can't share pictures from it publicly. I've had a hard time not eating that Oatmeal Raison cookie. What's your favourite cookie? Leave a comment and you'll be entered to win all of my Just in Case cards from October.
How cute (and yummy) is this packaging idea? What a sweet way to give a homemade baked good to a friend or neighbour. You could replace the cooking with anything edible. The cookie fits inside an Acetate Card Box which has been cut in half. I shredded some Designer Series Paper for the bottom. I just used my office shredder and put a little container under the blades to catch the patterned paper.
Full instructions will be included in my weekly newsletter on Sunday. Make sure you are signed up to receive it!
Here's another adorable packaging idea from the same magazine. I'm loving the black and white themed products in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue especially the 7/8" Striped Ribbon. The edges are wired but if you want a softer bow you can easily remove it from both seams.
When I was on the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip I won the Green Sprigs as one of the daily prizes and I must say I wasn't impressed. I thought "what will I do with these plastic sprigs?". I have had to eat my words as I'm now loving them along with the Mini Ornaments to adorn packaging.
I've applied some Embossing Paste (with a paint brush) and Dazzling Diamond Glitter to the sprigs (before the paste dried) and it makes a huge difference. This tip was shared on a demonstrator board I belong to and it made them even cuter!
